The Tacchificio Giorgio was founded in 1977 in Montopoli in Val D'Arno, in the province of Pisa. Since the year of its foundation, the company has worked with constancy and dedication to always offer its customers a quality, customisable and lasting craft product. Initially, Tacchificio Giorgio produced shoes with wooden heels, but starting in 1982, members Lassi Santo and Neri Alfiero decided to renew the machine park and the technologies used to allow artisans of the workshop to create heels and wedges using different and more modern materials.

From craftsmanship to the great production of shoes for women
The innovations of the market, combined with the tools available to the artisans of Tacchificio Giorgio, have allowed us to modify and improve the company's production structure. What initially was a completely artisanal activity, creating heels and wedges manually, has been expanded over time thanks to the automations purchased. To date, Giorgio Tacchificio produces thousands of shoes a day, producing heels and wedges in injection leather, polystyrene and abs material with customisable designs.The company was one of the first to introduce the CAD-CAM production system, alongside the innovative numeric control work centres for the production of different prototypes and models of shoes and wedges.

Tacchificio Giorgio di Montopoli in Val D'Arno has been pursuing a family tradition for over 30 years working with 15 people, including employees and collaborators. The family management has allowed the owners to guarantee full respect of the artisan traditions and this, together with the use of modern technologies, allows the company to make heels and wedges for customised footwear.
